Access to Independence
Just getting this letter of thanks to you. I know it’s been awhile since you came to my home. My live has been so enhanced and improved stress free since I had a proper wheelchair accessible ramp built. Many thanks to your organization Access to Independence for providing the program to help pay for these modifications. Without these grants I would have still been relying on my neighbors to help get me in my own home and out. Ever since I have my new ramp I’ve been on the go, my quality of life has increased 10 fold or more. It is so wonderful to come and go as I choose. So I give you my heartfelt thanks to you all at Access to Independence, my wish is that these grants can be expanded to help more worldwide. A disabled or elderly person has enough to deal with in their lives without adding the burden of barriers in and around their own homes. Yes freedom is very important in disabled or elderly persons life. So one more time I says thanks, like Dr. Martin Luther King said in one of his speeches; “free at last,” and that’s how I feel now.
