At Access to Independence, we’re proud to connect our community with resources, events, and research opportunities that promote independence, inclusion, and dignity for people with disabilities.
We receive many requests from organizations, agencies, businesses, and research teams asking us to:
- Add them to our Resource Directory
- Share information about their events or initiatives
- Help recruit participants for research projects
While we value these opportunities to share resources, reviewing, preparing, and promoting them takes staff time. To honor both our mission and our staff’s time, we’ve created a process for evaluating requests.
If you would like your resource, event, or research project to be considered, please complete the application below. Our team will review your submission to ensure it aligns with our mission and meets our criteria. We’ll follow up with next steps if approved.
Note: A small fee schedule applies to certain services. This helps cover that time so we can keep doing this work sustainably and fairly. Think of it as an investment in making sure your message reaches the right audience, while also ensuring our team can keep doing what they do best — serving our community.

We offer expert guidance to ensure your project is inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of people with disabilities.

Internal Review: Our team reviews applications using the criteria checklist below.
Decision & Next Steps: If approved, we’ll confirm scope, timeline, and any applicable fees.
Agreement: We’ll finalize documentation (e.g., MOU/Service Agreement) and start coordination.
Review Criteria
Clear alignment with Access to Independence’s mission and community benefit for people with disabilities.
Demonstrated accessibility practices (web, events, materials, communications).
Equity & inclusion commitments.
Accuracy and safety of information shared with our community.
For research: ethical practices (IRB status or equivalent protections), data privacy, and respectful recruitment.
Transparent goals, timeline, and deliverables.
Fees*
Some services may incur fees (e.g., recruitment support, accessibility consultation, event co-hosting, sponsored posts). Fees help sustain our programs and are assessed based on scope. We’ll share the fee schedule during review and get your approval before proceeding.
