Learn CPR, meet local emergency responders, and leave with a plan.
Access to Independence is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Workshop in El Centro for seniors, caregivers, and people with disabilities. Local agencies will share how to get ready before an emergency and where to turn for help when one happens.
The morning opens with Hands Only CPR training from the American Red Cross, followed by an emergency preparedness presentation that covers how to safely shut off gas and water lines. A panel discussion follows with Adriana Buelna, CERT Certified Trainer, Listos California; Gustavo Gomez, Senior Transportation Coordinator, ICTC; Ruben Marter, Deputy OES Coordinator, Office of Emergency Services; and Robert Cervantes, General Superintendent, Imperial Irrigation District. We close with questions and community resources. Facilitated by Daniel Flores, Access to Independence.
